Released as her first single in the Spring of ’82, the song sold so well in England that foul play was suspected! In the first 8 weeks in England the song sold over a half million copies and went on be a #2 smash in the UK and hit #25 in the U.S.
Inspired by the synth sounds of OMD and Gary Numan, the song has been covered by numerous artists in all types of formats.
