For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to 1980 for REO Speedwagon’s “Don’t Let Him Go” from their huge album Hi Infidelity.
It was announced that REO will highlight their #1 album in Las Vegas at the Venetian Theatre November 10th and 11th. Kevin Cronin said that they picked the Venetian because it’s an intimate theatre, and “Hi Infidelity” is an intimate album. He said it will be emotional for the band to play the whole album for the first time and tell it’s story.
“Don’t Let Him Go” was the first track on the album and reached #24 on the charts, the album went to #1 and sold over 10 million copies.
