This Sunday morning from 8 to noon, 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 80’s. This weekend Casey takes us back to February 8th, 1986, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Survivor with “Burning Heart”.
The song appeared in Rocky IV and was also on the soundtrack album. “Burning Heart” was personally commissioned by Sylvester Stallone. The song peaked at #2 on the charts, stalled behind “That’s What Friends Are For”.
The song was inspired by the Cold War with lyrics like “Is it East versus West?” and “Can any nation stand alone?” And of course in the movie the epic battle between Rocky and Ivan Drago.
