The king of the Rick Roll, Rick Astley is 57 years old today and we’re celebrating with “Together Forever” today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45!
The English singer-songwriter burst onto the scene in 1987 with his smash hit “Never Gonna Give You Up” which was #1 in 25 countries around the world. “Together Forever” also topped the charts in the U.S. He did deliver three more top 10 pop hits, but it was his final #1 song.
In 2007, his career was given a resurgence by the Rick Roll meme, where a clip of his song would play instead of the content the user expected.
