For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to this week in 1984 for Huey Lewis & the News with “Walking on a Thin Line”.
It was the 5th and final single from their Sports album, the song peaked at #18, becoming the only hit from the album that didn’t reach top 10.
Considered one of the band’s more “serious” songs, “Walking on a Thin Line”, is about an American soldier who is trained as a sniper in the Vietnam War and must face his demons when he returns home.
