Happy Halloween!  Here’s a spooky fact.  The Thompson Twins aren’t related and there are three of them! (insert spooky laugh here). For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to this week in 1985 for their hit “Lay Your Hands on Me”.

The song was the first single from their “Here’s to Future Days” album and was written by members Tom Bailey, Alannah Curie, and Joe Leeway.  There were two versions of this song, one released in 84 in the UK, the hit version in the States was co-produced by Nile Rodgers adding electric guitar and the gospel choir.

The song became the second of their 3 Top 10 hits, reaching #6 on the charts.  Enjoy the Thompson Twins with today’s Forgotten 45!
