This morning we got on the discussion about the midwest and our language or colloquialisms. Can you believe that in some places, if someone bumps into you, they wont say, “excuse me”? In Iowa we say, “ope, let me sneak right past ya”. When we’d like a refreshing drink, we call it pop. The East coast calls it, soda. Crazy southerners call any beverage that’s a pop, a Coke…even if they want a 7-Up!
“I’d like a Coke, please”
“What flavor?”
“7-Up”.
