On this date in 1980 Billy Joel topped the album chart with “Glass Houses”.  The album sold over 7 million copies and featured his first ever #1 hit “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me”, along with “You May Be Right”, “Don’t Ask Me Why” and today’s Forgotten 45, “Sometimes a Fantasy”.

The song was the final single from the album and reached #36 on the charts.  Billy still sell outs large arenas all over the world but mostly these days at his home in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
