Last year was my first for the 4th Street Cruise, and I didn’t think it could get better. I was wrong. Yesterday’s 40th On 4th was a blast and a half.
I met so many more listeners…of all ages! Rylin is a faithful Wake-Up Call listener. He’s 5, maybe 6 and listens with mom every morning. Trucker Ron was out, I finally met Cowboy Jerry, Sue Suzuki, James the Welder, Angela, Jody, Kevin, and spoke to the daughter of a lady who served our country in the Navy for 4 years.
If that wasn’t enough, I got some pretty cool rides around the loop. John and Christy gave me a ride in a classic hearse (thank God I didn’t need it yesterday!🙃). Father and son Gerald and Robert gave me a ride in an 80 Mirada. They were driving to honor their recently departed wife/mother on January 1st of this year.
Thanks to you, Eastern Iowa for such a great afternoon. I’ll post the videos from the hearse and Mirada below along with some pics.
