It comes from .38 Special “Back to Paradise” was released as a new song on their greatest hits album in 1987. It was also the theme song to Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise which I’m pretty sure won the Oscar for Best Picture that year. Well maybe not…
But it is a fun Friday tune and the video of course features a performance from the band with clips from the movie which scored a less than impressive 7% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!
