On what would’ve been his 73rd birthday, we remember Eddie Mahoney, better known as Eddie Money. Eddie was born in Brooklyn, a tried & true New Yorker who was born into a generational family of policemen. The cop life wasn’t for Eddie, so he made his father angry and moved to California.
Of course things worked out for Eddie, becoming a mainstay on the charts in the 70’s and 80’s. Today’s Forgotten 45 “Walk on Water” was from his album “Nothing to Lose”, the song reached #9 back in 1988.
Sadly, Eddie passed away from cancer in September of 2019 at the age of 70.
