For today’s Forgotten 45 we remember Brad Delp, the lead singer of Boston who sadly took his own life 15 years ago on March 9th, 2007. Brad’s distinctive vocals for the band continue to standout today just as they did in the 70’s and 80’s. Their debut album is a Classic Rock/Hits staple that sold 20 million copies featuring “More Than A Feeling”, “Foreplay/Long Time”, and “Peace of Mind”.
Brad did not only the lead vocals on the album, but all of the backing harmony vocals as well as the band was known for their technical prowess in the studio.
Today’s Forgotten comes from their comeback album “Third Stage” released in 1986. The lead single “Amanda” was a #1 hit (their only one!) and the album sold over 4 million copies. The follow-up “We’re Ready” reached #9 on the charts and is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45.
