One of my all-time favorite bands is Foreigner and it was on this date in 1977 that they released their self-titled debut. The album remains a classic featuring hits like “Cold As Ice”, “Feels Like The First Time”, and today’s Forgotten 45 “Long, Long Way From Home”.
The song reached #20 on the charts in early 1978 as the album sold over 5 million copies in the U.S., alone. The powerhouse combination of Mick Jones and Lou Gramm’s power vocals made Foreigner one of the most popular groups of the 70’s and 80’s.
