I figured since Waters theme on Tunesday was break-up songs and this song was was starting a three week run at #1 on this date in 1976, today’s Forgotten 45 is from Paul Simon “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover”.
50 Ways was the second single from his 4th album “Still Crazy After All These Years” and following the divorce from his first wife Peggy Harper, Paul decided to take a more humorous route to document the event. It worked, it went on to be Paul’s only #1 solo hit.
