Today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 was the #1 song on this date back in 1970. It’s from the Dutch band Shocking Blue who hit the top of the charts with “Venus”. The song was originally released in the Netherlands where it went to #3.
In 1981 the song was included on the Stars on 45 Medley and of course went to #1 in 1986 when it was remade by Bananarama.
