The Moody Blues – The Voice
The Moody Blues released a great album in 1981 that got a lot of praise from music critics. ‘Long Distance Voyager’ had two Top 40 songs on it, “Gemini Dream” relesed first and peaked at #12 on the Hot 100 and “The Voice”.
“The Voice” got a lot of airplay on the radio as well as MTV as the network was still new and needed to add as many videos as it could find. That, alone, helped many artists get radio airplay where they may not have had any, if it weren’t for MTV. The song peaked at #15!
