Sheena Easton – Strut
Singer/songwriter Charlie Dore wrote this song for Sheena Easton. It was included on her ‘A Private Heaven’ album in 1984. Easton’s first producer, Christopher Neil, sent her a demo of the song and she immediately loved it. It was women’s empowerment kind of song and she was excited to release it.
“Strut” hit the Hot 100 and continued to climb the chart where it eventually peakied at #7.
I remember seeing the video on MTV and immediatly crushing on her. I believe she may have lip-synched it on Sold Gold, as well.
