Listed at #22 on England’s NME magazine’s 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time, The La’s “There She Goes” is considered the bedrock of what became known later as ‘Britpop’.

Is the song about unrequited love? Is it about heroin? According to the band, it’s about a crush on a girl that doesn’t realize that the songwriter even likes her.

You’ve heard the song all over. In TV shows, many movies and soundtracks and on the radio in 1990.

It’s also been covered a few different times, the biggest being by Sixpense None the Richer who took it to #32 on the Hot 100 in 1999. The La’s original made it to #49.
