Alaskan Amber Alt-style Ale

Cracked a beer this week that was the right one for the right moment. Alaskan Brewing Company has many styles I like so I figured the Amber would be good and refreshing with a nice malty goodness. An Alt-style ale refers to the time it ferments. It sits longer in cold fermentation so the balance of flavors blends well. Lots of malt with just a hint of hop bitter. But, what I feel is important to it’s flavor and quality is the glacier-fed water. Sourced from a Juneau Ice Field, this water is pure and naturally filtered from a glacier. You can’t get much more natural water than this.
Iowa Craft Beer Tent will be out on the RAGBRAI trail, July 25-31! ICBT and Backpocket Brewing will be set up near each of the stops along the way. Riders and others love to make a stop at each of these to grab a brew and more importantly, get a taste of Iowa through our craft beer!
Currently, they are looking for help in the way of volunteers. If you are over 21 years of age, are available during the time they are set, and in the area (there are 7 places they will be set up along the way), please reach out to Steve at Contact@IowaCraftBeerTent.com or at 515-875-4838.
