33 years ago today, Prince released ‘Lovesexy’, his 10th studio album and most shocking cover.

Many subsequent releases were separated to skip tracks if you wanted, but Prince didn’t want you to do that.
“Alphabet St.” was the first single to be released of the album, on April 15, 1988 and it eventually peaked at #8 on the Hot 100.
