A song suggested by a longtime listener, Kim Ross from Evansdale…

I LOVE getting suggestions from you all, by the way!

Donna Summer – Dim All The Lights

Back to 1979 with the disco queen, Donna Summer!

Mixing the normal disco sound she was known for, and adding a more pop oriented direction, “Dim All The Lights” was a sexy, soulful song that was a great song to follow the title track to the album the song came from, ‘Bad Girls’.

The song debuted at #70 on the Hot 100 and raced up the chart, only to be stopped from becoming a #1 by Eagles – Heartache Tonight, one week and The Commodores – Still, the next…

Working with her longtime collaborator, Georgio Moroder, it was arranged in studio by a fairly unknown Harold Faltermeyer, who would have his own hits in a few years, thanks to Beverly Hills Cop (“Axel F”)!
